EDUCANDO AL INFANTE: LA AUTOESTIMA ES IMPORTANTÍSIMO

Todos sabemos que la personalidad de una persona está influenciada por múltiples factores, pero el factor principal es el que se da en los primeros años de vida, más propiamente en los tres primeros años.

Durante los dos años que siguen al año en que el niño sólo mama y duerme, el niño va a provocar muchas situaciones de angustia, zozobra y hasta molestia a sus padres. Es la edad en que empiezan a caminar, conocer su entorno, conocer sus sentidos, buscan satisfacerse, el olfato, el oído, el gusto y el tato. Todo esto lleva al niño a acometer muchos “errores” que para los padres es muy fatigoso (llevarlo al médico por haber ingerido algún objeto pequeño) pasado este trance hay que aprovechar este afán de descubrir, las cualidades de los objetos, que tiene el niño.

Es una oportunidad clave en la formación del futuro individuo, en el cual los pares, deben aprovechar para que a la vez que los vamos corrigiendo (amoldándolo a nuestras costumbres) vamos dándole forma a esta nueva personalidad como si estuviéramos tallando un cubo de madera en la forma que deseamos.

No hagas eso que te vas a caer, no hagas esto otro que te vas a golpear, no agarres eso, no etc, no etc., es lo que comúnmente se escucha de los padres.

Esta es una actitud que debemos cambiar, aprendidos tal vez por nuestros propios miedos e incapacidades.

Cuando el niño está, por ejemplo, tratando de subirse a una silla o a una mesa y lo observamos muy agitado, por querer alcanzar su objetivo entonces es cuando pronunciamos esa frase no te subas que te vas a caer y tanto se le dice así al niño que al final se cae.

Pero si Ud. Se acerca a él y le dice sigue hijito tú te puedes subir motivándole a esta “travesura” le está dando ánimo al futuro hombre que no va a tener temor de emprender cualquier gran acción, aunque sea riesgosa, habiéndose grabado en su subconsciente el soporte emocional de sus palabras que lo alentaron a alcanzar su meta.

Así hay muchas frases mal aprendidas que aplicamos a los niños y provocamos en ellos sentimientos de baja autoestima, sin darnos cuenta que su mente es como un libro en blanco, y cada día que pasa va llenándose de una escritura que no se borrará jamás.
